Welcome

A simple request by an amputee for a wheelchair to assist a fellow amputee was the catalyst for the establishment of the Civilian Maimed and Limbless Association of Western Australia in 1942 and the subsequent decades of service to the Western Australian community. Today, the Association provides significant community services as:
  • an advocate for amputees and persons afflicted with physical disabilities resulting from all types of injury or disease
  • an Approved Provider of aged care services for residents at Osboine Contemporary Aged Care, Koh-I-Noor Nursing Home and Ritcher Lodge
  • owner/operator of the fully accessible Camelia Court Retirement Village, Bayswater
  • an advocate for children with congenital limb deficiency or amputation
  • provider of taxi transport support for amputees attending limb fitting appointments
  • facilitator of grants and special needs funding for specific purposes
